Terms and Conditions
Velvet & Brick Studio – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and studio use at Velvet & Brick Studio. By making a booking, you agree to comply with all terms outlined below.
1. Bookings & Payments
All bookings must be made through our official booking system. Payment in full is required at the time of booking to secure your session. The confirmed booking period represents your total access window — this includes setup and pack-down time.
Access will not be granted before your booking start time, and all bump-out must be completed before the session ends. Overtime will be charged at $150 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.
2. Cancellations
Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your booking date are non-refundable. Rescheduling may be permitted subject to availability and at Velvet & Brick’s discretion.
3. Indemnity & Risk
Use of the studio is entirely at your own risk. Velvet & Brick accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage — whether accidental or deliberate — sustained by the client or their guests. We are not responsible for theft, damage, or loss of personal or hired equipment brought into the studio.
5. Damage & Liability
Clients are responsible for any damage to the studio, building, fixtures, fittings, furniture, props, or equipment during their booking period. Repair or replacement costs will be charged in full to the client.
Heavy body makeup, fake tan, or oils that stain furniture are strictly prohibited. Furniture and props may not be removed from the premises unless prior written consent has been granted.
6. Cleaning & Studio Care
The studio must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Rubbish must be disposed of in provided bins, and all surfaces left free of spills, glitter, or debris. A $100 cleaning fee will be charged if the studio is left in an unsatisfactory state.
Non-destructive décor (e.g. confetti, smoke, bubbles) is permitted if cleaned up fully before the end of the booking. Destructive décor (e.g. paint, fake blood, pyrotechnics, flares, heavy glitter) requires written pre-approval. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of your session without refund and additional cleaning or repair charges.
7. Parking & Access
Two dedicated parking spaces are provided for clients.
Additional parking is available on nearby public streets.Please do not park in other tenants’ designated spaces.
Large vehicles may use the driveway temporarily for loading/unloading but must relocate once complete. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled time to avoid overlap with other clients.
8. Capacity & Conduct
The studio accommodates up to 15 attendees per booking.
Events or productions exceeding this limit require prior approval.
Strictly no smoking inside or within 20m of the studio entrance.
No pets unless approved in advance. No illegal activity of any kind is permitted.
Velvet & Brick reserves the right to terminate any session immediately, without refund, if conduct is unsafe, unlawful, or damages property.
9. Promotional Use
Velvet & Brick may capture or use behind-the-scenes content for marketing or promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to your session.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
